I am a fine art and commercial photographer based in Portland, Oregon. My relationship with photography started at a young age when my grandfather, an outdoors enthusiast, gave me his old Kodak Retina film camera and would bring me along on trips to photograph landscapes and animals. On those early trips I found that I could express myself through this wonderful old camera. In the ensuing years, through moves across countries and continents, my photography and the art I create have been mainstays of my identity. My background in architecture and art history help me apply creativity, a strong sense of composition and attention to detail. I strive to produce images that feature every person at their very best. When I don't have a camera in my hands, I enjoy playing the violin, viola and French horn. Of course, I always take my camera when enjoying a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, biking and skiing.
